Suspect description: thin male, between 5'7" and 5'10"

QUINCY, ILL. -- Police continue their search for an armed man who robbed a Hy-Vee gas station, at 14th and Harrison St. in Quincy, Saturday evening.

Police say a thin male suspect of unknown race, between 5'7"and 5'10", wore a ski mask as he entered the Hy-Vee gas station, located at 1300 Harrison. The subject displayed a handgun. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The subject then fled the area on foot in an unknown direction of travel.

The call to police came in at 7:24 p.m. Police do not have anyone in custody at this time.

"If we get more information we will release it so we can get some help from the people who live around here. They might have seen something," Sgt. Jeff Nevin, with QPD said.

If you have any information on this crime, you're asked to call the Quincy Police Department at (217) 228-4470 or Quincy Regional Crimestoppers at (217) 228-4474.
