Quincy's Wedemeier Named GLVC Player of the Week

The soccer star helped the Hawks to a 2-1 record in the second to last week of the month.
(Quincy, Ill.) Quincy University senior midfielder Jack Wedemeier has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
Wedemeier, from Cape Girardeau, Mo., helped Quincy to a 2-1 record on the week including a 1-0 upset win over #20 ranked Drury University. Wedemeier helped set up the Hawks' only goal against Drury, setting up teammate Grant Ellison in the 62nd minute.
He followed that with a two goal performance in the Hawks 3-2 come from behind win over Southern Indiana on Friday. Wedemeier tied the game up at one early in the second half and just moments later, after trailing 2-1, tied the game up once more at the 77th minute.
Wedemeier has totaled four goals and one assist for nine total points this season, ranking second on the team while adding one game winning goal. Quincy is currently 5-3 overall and 4-2 in the GLVC.
