WELL GROUNDED: CRIMSONS ALL BUSINESS AFTER DELIVERING STATES BIGGEST FIRST ROUND UPSET IN YEARS

Last team in...first team out...that is the way it is supposed to work anyways...

256 high school football squads qualify for the IHSA Playoffs.

And Jacksonville was the two hundred and 56th team to qualify.

Dead last.

As such, the Crimsons drew the unenviable task of facing top seed Sacred Heart Griffin to open the postseason, a powerhouse that had coincidentally scored 63 first half points on JHS three weeks earlier.

What seemed the surest best in Illinois Football....ended up sending shock waves across the state.
