The most accomplished quarterback in Iowa High School History will play collegiately for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

KHQA confirmed James Vandenberg's verbal commitment to Iowa early this morning, after the record setting Chiefs signal caller gave a verbal commitment to Kirk Ferentz on an in-home visit last night.

Vandenberg, who owns every passing record of note in Iowa history including 93 career touchdown passes, chose Iowa over Nebraska, UNI, and Northern Illinois
