TRI-STATES -- Ahh ... the wrath of what used to be Hurricane Isaac.

There currently (as of 2:30 p.m. Saturday) is a tornado watch for Cass, Fulton, Morgan, Schuyler, and Scott counties until 9 Saturday night. Keep your eyes to the skies and to KHQA for the latest information.

As for the rain ... people across the region saw rainfall totals from a half an inch to almost 5 inches!

If you haven't received a whole lot, don't worry. There's still another round making its way once this storm starts moving east.

We saw the rain from when the storm moved north, but now as with all other weather, this storm will start to push across the state of Illinois and scoot on out of here.

Also, if you're planning on driving anywhere this weekend, please be careful. Heavy rain can make it very hard to see. Take your time and "arrive alive."

Wavering Aquatic Center is closed for the season. Indian Mounds will close Monday.

This holiday weekend, the upper Midwest, including the Tri-State area will feel the impact of what was "Hurricane Isaac."

Rain bands and some severe weather rolled into the region on Friday afternoon and so began our wet weekend.

As of Friday night at 10 p.m. most of the Tri-State area (excluding our northern counties) had seen periods of heavy rain resulting in rainfall reports of up to two inches.

The severe weather from the storm was limited to the St.Louis area with several tornado warnings on Friday afternoon resulting in some minor to moderate damage reports from near O'Fallon, Mo. and Carrolton, Ill.  The severe weather was short lived but the minor threat is still in the forecast for Saturday, according to the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma.

Here in the Quincy and Hannibal area we are predicting rainfall totals of 2-4" with far lesser amounts for some of our northern counties in the Keokuk and Burlington region.

Stay with KHQA for the very latest information on this tropical low pressure system over your Labor Day weekend.
