QUINCY, ILL. -- The early warning siren located at 8th and Adams in Quincy will be out of service until further notice.

According to the Quincy Fire Department, the siren failed to sound during the regularly scheduled test on September 4th.

Upon further investigation it was found that the siren will not receive the activation signal.

The part responsible for that action has been removed and sent away for repair.

When the siren is returned to service the public will be notified.

Please contact Fire Chief Joe Henning at qfd@quincyil.gov with any questions.
