SHELBY COUNTY, MO. -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Daremiah Gibson, 30, of Wright City, Missouri, was arrested shortly after noon Tuesday in Shelby County when a multi-county pursuit of his vehicle came to an end.

According to our sister station KTVO, the suspect ran out of gas on County Road 315, near Shelby County Route MM.

KTVO reporter John Garlock reports that Gibson was taken into custody at that time without further incident. He was wanted for a felony probation and parole warrant, a felony Warren County warrant for fraud, a felony Lincoln County warrant for bad checks and a Franklin County warrant for driving while revoked.

Several traffic charges are now pending against him as well.

State troopers started pursuing Gibson at approximately 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on westbound Interstate 70 near the Montgomery/Warren County line according to Garlock and the ground pursuit was called off when troopers noticed a small child in the car with Gibson. A highway patrol aircraft was in the area and continued to keep an eye on the vehicle from the sky. A short time later, the car stopped, and a woman and a small child got out.

KTVO says that's when troopers then resumed the chase as Gibson continued to flee. In Columbia, Gibson got off of I-70 and eventually got to Highway 63 where he continued north through Randolph and Macon counties. He eventually traveled onto county roads in Shelby County where the aircraft pilot informed troopers on the ground where Gibson's car had come to a stop.

Gibson is being held in the Marion County Jail in Palmyra.
