He's BACK .... old man winter returns Wednesday, bringing snow, wind and cold temps.

Rain is changing over to snow in the next few hours and two to four inches of snow is anticipated in portions Southeast Iowa and just west of the Mississippi river.

In Knox, Lewis and Shelby Counties in Missouri, a Winter Advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. and light to moderate snow will continue accross the area, later tapering off to just flurries. An accumulation of approximately 2 inches is expected and expect temps to fall.

Winds will pick up as well, gusting up to 35 mph.

MoDOT trucks have been out since 11 p.m. Tuesday in preparation for the precipitation.

Drivers are encouraged to drive slowly and be prepared for slick road conditions.
