Travel in the Tri-State area could become tricky at times on New Years Eve with a Winter Weather Advisory issued.

The National Weather Service in St.Louis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 a.m. on Monday through 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

The first round of snow will move across the area on Monday morning, with additional snow occurring Monday afternoon and Monday night.

We've already confirmed reports of snow falling in Hannibal and Louisiana areas in Missouri and near Barry, Illinois.

Accumulations of two to four inches are expected with a possible sleet mix at times.

Extreme caution may be needed at time depending on the current weather conditions.
