Persistently warm weather has left its mark on a majority of the country thus far in the year 2012, including right here in the Tri-States.

To be exact, through the month of April, this year has been the warmest start to a calendar year on record, not only for St. Louis and Columbia, Mo. but also for Quincy, Ill.

The margin of victory for the 2012 warm spell is very impressive, with at least a 3-degree spread and spanning a 60-plus year period.

Below is a list for Quincy Regional Airport, showing the top 10 average temperatures from 1948 to present day:

1) 45.2 in 2012

2) 42.6 in 1990

3) 42.2 in 2006

4) 41.5 in 2000

5) 41.3 in 1992

6) 40.9 in 1987

7) 40.6 in 1976

8) 40.1 in 2002

9) 39.9 2005

10) 39.7 in 1998
